In this section, we answer the most common questions on general topics such as choosing the most suitable solution based on space dimensions, maintenance frequency, and the criteria to consider to ensure efficiency and comfort over time.
To heat a warehouse with a height of less than 5 meters, the most effective heating system is radiant heating strips, which allow uniform heating of the environment without creating stratification phenomena. Radiant heating strips are also the ideal solution for spaces where processing and concentrations of stored materials result in the formation of gases, vapors, and/or dust that may cause fires and/or explosions.
To cool the entire warehouse, the optimal solution is the use of an evaporative cooling system, which allows you to cool the air inside the warehouse naturally and with significant energy savings. Distribution can be achieved with 4-way and 6-way diffusers or through microperforated ducting, to ensure the most uniform comfort in the environment.
If you have a warehouse with a height of less than 10 meters (but greater than 5 meters), there are several effective heating solutions: first and foremost is the radiant tube heating system, ideal for heating large warehouses and ensuring proper comfort. Next are heating strips, radiant tube modules, and finally radiant diffusers, with which zoned heating is more easily achievable.
For summer cooling of the warehouse, the most effective, sustainable, and economical solution is undoubtedly the adiabatic cooling system.
For a warehouse with a height greater than 10 meters, the most effective heating solution is a radiant tube system, which ensures uniform heat distribution. If you wish to achieve optimal comfort conditions quickly or desire zoned heating, the most effective solution is radiant diffusers.
Other effective solutions for heating warehouses where the installation height of the system exceeds 10 meters are gas-fired radiant tube modules, also suitable for zoned heating.
To effectively and sustainably cool different work areas, the optimal solution is the adiabatic cooling system, available in various models that, thanks to their versatility, allow roof, wall, and floor-mounted installation with air duct connections downward, lateral, and upward respectively.
The main elements we consider to propose the most effective solution for your needs are:
- The type of fuel or energy source available for the system
- The total area to be heated (or cooled)
- Whether zoned or uniform heating across the entire area is required
- The optimal height at which the system can be installed
- The amount of air changes present in the environment to be heated or cooled
- The degree of insulation of the building
- The required internal comfort temperature
- Any internal thermal loads (e.g., high concentration of CNC machines)
